I have this hung on a hook from the ceiling of an outdoor bin store. It gives off a really bright light which means I haven't needed to worry about getting out to sort the recycling before the dark evenings close in during the winter. The options to have the "petals" of the light up or down allows you to direct the light down from the ceiling. Options for brightness and flashing if required. Small, lightweight, bright. I saw other reviewers mention the little rubber bung doesn't stay snugly into the slot and it doesn't. As mine is inside a bin store it doesn't matter but if you had this outside in rain, it might be a bit of an issue. Little bit pricey

Bought this light to go camping in a tent and I must say I am really pleased with it. I wanted one with a few different levels of brightness to range from playing cards in the evening to a slight glow to comfort my toddler throughout the night (and of course handy if you need to get up to nip to the loo!) When on full brightness with the parts folded down, the lamp provided enough light to play cards and board games without any eye straining necessary. This can also be dimmed to adjust to requirement. The small circular middle section also lights up and dims with the click of a button which I found great as an all night safety light. On this setting the light lasted all night and I charged the next day, I continued this pattern for the 4 day camping trip with no problems. There is a little hook to hang it up with, it's very lightweight and durable and seemed to survive just fine packed inside a fairy bashed around suitcase. My mum and dad had a plug in light but were very jealous of my portable light which packed a punch. Highly recommended for an essentials camping trip.
